about

This is what happens 9 months... a year... 5 years after a "Natural High" - And you learn from both of your mistakes, heal, find yourself again (that is, if you had lost it) and now know better, the next time around, what it is we truly desire in another being to compliment our own.

lyrics

Why now? Yesterday was all the same
We were still playing the game
Now you take all of the blame
But now it’s gone the flame, it’s…
Too late. Words are fractions in the air
Intentions are a love affair
Actions are what wears and tears
So goodbye baby

You had to take a crash and die
so that you may feel alive
and now that you have been resurrected
our love no longer flows protected
so maybe it’s a surprise
when you opened up your eyes
that I no longer chose you elected
I know that’s not what you expected

In every relationship, I got on the ship
And fought for my life
Carried my bags, cleaned with their rags
And carved me with a knife
I fought for my crew
They defended me too
Then a stab in my back
One time maybe two
Every time I see a red flag
less and less I try
the last one I saw I lost my “Natural High”

lets not confuse infatuation with duration
one day at a time baby
what we doin ain’t a crime
he WAS my four leaf clover in the grass
but I plucked him from the earth
and now it’s passed

you had to take a crash and die to open up your eyes, but now it’s too late, too much weight, too many moves that wooed me to a new groove, soothe your down heart on your own, get it straight, cause I ain’t the woman for your home, recreate, demodulate your own melodic om, I’m a sovereign lady, not a tiny little miss, I require simple things that just ain’t on your list, the universe is calling and she’s yelling out to me, “spread your wing warrior, I’m gon’guide you back to sea”
